Bouchard Transportation Floats Flexible Ch. 11 Plan Track

Law360 (June 21, 2021, 3:39 p.m. EDT) – Bouchard Transportation Co., owner of a bankrupt oil barge fleet, has filed the Chapter 11 plan documents in Texas bankruptcy court, outlining a flexible path to complete the sale of its assets or confirm a reorganization around its remaining fleet.

In documents filed Friday, Bouchard said he made significant progress during his bankruptcy case to get his fleet of barges and tugs back to working order after losing required safety and maintenance certifications, and that an ongoing marketing process for the sale of some or all of its fleet presents an opportunity to complete a value-enhancing transaction.
