Joseph Vaudo faces charges of killing $10K worth of lobsters

SANDWICH – Superior Lobster and Seafood lost about $ 10,000 in lobsters after a Sandwich man shut off the compressor and oxygen supply to their live seafood tank, according to the Sandwich Police Department Facebook page .

Sandwich Police responded to Superior Lobster and Seafood on Friday to investigate a report of vandalism, the Facebook post said. CCTV footage the day before at 9:18 p.m. reportedly showed a man illegally throwing trash into the company’s commercial dumpster, then turning off the compressor and oxygen supply to the live seafood tank, the publication said.

The suspect in the video has been identified by police as Joseph Vaudo.

Vaudo was arrested and charged with vandalism of property and illegal dumping. Vaudo has been reported for trespassing on the business and is due in court on Monday for arraignment, the courier said.

Vaudo is the former owner of the store. The court ordered him in December to cede the market to G-Four LLC, a commercial rental company based in Sagamore.
