Mike Lieberman has over 30 years of experience in bankruptcy, insolvency and creditors law. He mainly specializes in representing individuals and small businesses in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies, extrajudicial reorganizations, business liquidations, asset liquidations and insolvency matters.
Mike has spoken at seminars on various topics related to bankruptcy, including bankruptcy and elder law; Bankruptcy and Divorce Law; Tax exemption in bankruptcy and individual Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
He has spoken at CPA conferences on topics related to bankruptcy and insolvency. He is co-author of an article for the Michigan State Bar Journal on elder law and bankruptcy and has appeared on radio and television shows on various bankruptcy issues. Mike also regularly provides volunteer services through the Eastern District Bankruptcy Court of Michigan’s Pro Bono and Access to Bankruptcy Court (ABC) programs and the Jewish Family Service.
Steve Cohen has 30 years of experience in the practice of law, of which the last 26, primarily in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency law, representing individuals and businesses in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases of bankruptcy, declines and liquidations of assets.
Steve presented at the ABI’s 11th Annual Consumer Bankruptcy Conference in Detroit on the topic “Student Loans from A to Z”. Steve has presented the topic of bankruptcy debt cancellation at CPA conferences. When not practicing law, Steve is the South Oakland County American Cancer Society Relay For Life Sponsorship Chair.
