Ch. 7 Trustee Tries To Bar OneJet Founders’ $10M Claim

Law360 (June 8, 2021, 6:25 p.m. EDT) – Investment firm owned by bankrupt family OneJet Inc., now defunct, should not be able to claim $ 10 million it allegedly ‘loaned’ troubled airline, said the Chapter 7 administrator overseeing the case in an opponent’s complaint.

Administrator Rosemary Crawford told US Bankruptcy Court in Pittsburgh that lender PrimAir Venture Partners was in fact an intermediary for money transfers to and from Maguire / Maguire Inc., through which family members founder Patrick Maguire, Matthew Maguire and Jean Rieke kept OneJet afloat in difficulty and would have repaid themselves with funds from new investors.
