Ch. 7 Trustee Objects To OneJet Investors’ Settlement

Law360 (July 13, 2021, 6:46 p.m. EDT) – Chapter 7 trustee of bankrupt airline OneJet has opposed a proposed settlement with a group of abandoned investors, arguing the settlement could be paid through assets that should be included in the bankruptcy estate.

Trustee Rosemary Crawford told Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania that she opposes a proposed settlement in a conflicting case between investors and OneJet founder Matthew Maguire and her father’s estate, Patrick Maguire. She believed it would involve the Maguire’s sale of a business jet that the bankruptcy masses had sued in a separate adversarial case.
